Abstract:Objective A data warehouse of medical imaging information was built to offer accurate data for expanding research of medical equipment achievements and improving modern management. Methods We built the data warehouse based on massive amounts of data accumulated for years by the radiology information system and picture archiving and communication system (RIS/PACS) of a grade three hospital so as to implement OLAP multidimensional data cube analysis and equipment exam quantity forecast. Results We realized data mining of equipment efficiency through the break-even model in order to provide intuitive and deep statistical chart data for the hospital leaders to assist decision-making. Conclusion The application of data warehouse and data mining used in analyzing medical equipment achievement could properly solve problems of achievement, price, risk and so on, furthermore, give full play to social and economic benefits of medical equipment.
