Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of 2D ionization chamber array in the dose verification of IMRT plans. Methods IMRT plans of 16 patients who would undergo IMRT in our hospital were designed through treatment planning system and then were migrated to solid water to obtain phantom hybrid plans. Then the dose verification of phantom hybrid plans was conducted with 2D ionization chamber array. The verification results were analyzed according to 3%/3 mm criterion. Results The passing rate scope of absolute dose verification results of all radiation fields was 86.4%~100% while that of relative dose verification results of all radiation fields was 88.5%~100%. Conclusion As a fast dose measurement system, 2D ionization chamber array plays an important role in the dose verification of IMRT plans.
