Abstract:Objective A piece of non-liquid phantom of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is developed to overcome the influence caused by liquid sloshing during the quality control detection. Methods A dedicated fMRI phantom was developed by NiCl2·6H2O, NaN3, NaCl, agar powder which have been proceed with specific ratio. Results The results showed that detection performance indicators of fMRI phantom were superior to regular phantom. The new phantom well overcame sign drifting caused by liquid sloshing, had better effect on controlling artifacts, and realized the purpose. Conclusion The new phantom can reflect the performance of system stability objectively, and be adopted to the judgement for equipment characteristic before fMRI examination.
