Abstract:Objective To investigate the effectiveness of total imaging matrix technique in whole spine 3.0TMR imaging. Methods With deployment of the total imaging matrix technique, 133 patients with suspected spinal diseases on their necks, thoraxes or the lumbar areas underwent whole spine MR imaging. Sagittal images were obtained first by scanning of the spines in each location, on the basis of which a composing software shall be applied to get all the sections sutured into a whole spine image. Results Continuous images of the intraspinal cord and vertebral structures in all cases were revealed in an intuitive and accurate way. Conclusion Deployment of the total imaging matrix technology in whole spine 3.0TMR imaging allows for all-round observation of multiple spinal cord and column diseases and demonstrates its excellent ability in display of the location, number, adjacent tissues of lesions as well as the range and degree of structural lesions. Additionally, it has shown great improvement in accurate positioning of the lesions, which is helpful to work out operation and treatment plans.
