Abstract:This paper introduces the application of fiber bragg grating (FBG) monitoring system for respiratory rate in the environment with intense magnetic. Man-in-simulant test shows that the output data of the system with high sensitivity and no interference which is composed of homemade demodulation instrument, fiber bragg grating probe packaged with resin, software system and display terminal is stable and accurate in the environment with intense magnetic. Thus this paper pointes out that FBG can be used to monitor respiratory rate of human.
