Abstract:Objective To explore the feasibility of reducing the total length of the examination by acquiring cardiac cine sequences
after contrast injection. Methods Forty-four patients were included for two MRI examinations, the first examination was performed
with conventional scans丨 the second examination was performed with contrast injection for myocardial perfusion imaging followed
by scanning cine sequences. The differences of left ventricular function parameters including left ventricular end-diastolic
volume, left ventricular end-systolic volume, left ventricular stroke volume, left ventricular cardiac output, left ventricular mass,
left ventricular ejection fraction, 3D radial strain, circumferential strain, longitudinal strain and image quality of left ventricular
myocardium and flow cardiac cine imaging. Results There was no significant difference in left ventricular function parameters
between the two scanning processes (P>0.05), the difference in signal-to-noise ratio between blood pool and myocardium was not
statistically significant (P>0.05), but the difference in blood pool and myocardium contrast noise ratio was statistically significant
(P<0.05). Conclusion Placing the cardiac cine sequence after contrast injection could shorten the examination time and reduce the
amount of contrast agent.
