Abstract:Objective To explore the feasibility of magnetic tracer technique for palpation of negative breast nodules. Methods Using
a female experimental pig as an animal model, a coaxial dual-channel injection device was used to inject the self-prepared sodium
alginate ferric oxide solution and calcium agent into the breast tissue to make it react to form a magnetic hydrogel as a tracer magnet.
The labeled breast tissue was excised with a pursuit magnet. The formation of magnetic hydrogel was observed with the naked eye
of breast tissue immediately, 0.5 h and 8 h after injection, and the diffusion of magnetic hydrogel and peripheral breast tissue was
observed pathologically. Results Sodium alginate ferric oxide solution and calcium were injected smoothly. After injection, the
labeled nodules could be touched at the injection site, and the pursuit magnet could absorb magnetic hydrogel, which could complete
accurate positioning. At 0.5 h and 8 h, the magnetic hydrogel and breast tissue of the injection site showed that the gelation reaction
of sodium alginate ferric oxide and calcium agent was good, and no ferric oxide particles were dispersed to the surrounding by naked
eye and under microscope. Conclusion Magnetic hydrogel formed by sodium alginate ferric oxide solution can be used to mark and
locate breast nodules with negative palpation.
