Abstract:Objective To realize the directional expansion of skin soft tissue, a device based on magnetic anchor technique is
designed. Methods According to the principle of magnetic anchor technique, the magnetic fluids was used as the filling liquid of
skin soft tissue expansion device instead of normal saline. Then the skin soft tissue expansion device was placed under the skin and
anchor magnet was applied to guide its directional expansion under the action of magnetic force. The directional traction force was
tested in vitro. Experimental rabbits were used as models to observe the directional expansion effect. Results The results of magnetic
mechanics test showed that the suction of anchor magnet and 30 mL magnetic fluid can produce about 9 N at zero distance. With the
increase of their distance, the magnetic force decreased gradually, and there was still 2.36 N suction at the displacement of 10 mm.
Preliminary animal experiments showed that the anchor magnet can produce good directional dilatation traction on dilated balloon
in different directions. Conclusion Based on magnetic anchor technique, the skin soft tissue directional expansion device can realize
directional expansion function.
