Abstract:Objective To compare the differences in dosimetry, homogeneity index (HI) and conformity index (CI) between domestic
and imported accelerators in the treatment of lung cancer. Methods A total of 20 patients with lung cancer were randomly selected
from our hospital (group A = import accelerator + planning system). They were transferred to No.148 Hospital of Chinese PLA
(group B = domestic accelerator + imported planning system) and No.404 Hospital of Chinese PLA (group C = domestic accelerator
+ planning system) for planning design and verification, and the results were compared. The prescription dose and limit value of the
three groups were consistent. Dose validation was analyzed using the Gamma method. The dose levels of organs at risk, plangross
tumor volume (pGTV) and planning target volume (PTV), HI and CI were compared among three groups. Paired sample t test was
used for analysis. Results The pass rates of 3 mm/3% and 4 mm/4% in Gamma analysis were above 90%. The mean dose of lung,
heart and spinal cord was evaluated, and the results showed that group C was the lowest. Comparison of PTV data shows that the
value of group C was relatively large, while the difference between group A and group B was not significant. Group B had the best
performance in HI and CI. There was no statistical significance in the comparison of pGTV indicators. Conclusion There is little
difference in Gamma pass rate and dosimetric indexes between domestic and imported precise radiotherapy equipment, and only
partial difference exists in the verification of organ at risk dose and PTV dose.
