Abstract:Objective To evaluate the accuracy, effectiveness and safety of Venusx, a new medical linear accelerator launched by
LinaTech Medical, a clinical acceptance test was conducted on the technical indicators. Methods With reference to the relevant
national standard regulations and methods, quality inspection and evaluation of radiation safety, mechanical accuracy, beam
performance and imaging system of VenusX were conducted. Results All technical indicators meet the requirements of relevant
standards: Radiation safety items were normal and effective. The size of the isocenter was 0.5 mm. The rotation angle of the gantry
was 0.3°. The accuracy of the digital light distance scale was 1mm. The rotation angle of the treatment couch was 0.5°. The deviation
of each direction of the couch was ≤1 mm. The accuracy and repeatability of MLC were better than the standard. The dose stability
was better than the relevant standards. The center placement accuracy of MV-EPID was 0.4 mm, the placement repeatability accuracy
was 0.2 mm, and the positioning accuracy was 0.5 mm. The center placement accuracy of kV-EPID was 0.3 mm, the placement
repeatability accuracy was 0.2 mm, and the positioning accuracy was 0.1 mm. Conclusion As a domestic multimodal intelligent
medical linear accelerator, the parameters and indicators of Venus X are better than the acceptance criteria, which proves that the
safety, accuracy and effectiveness of the device are in line with relevant national standards and meet clinical requirements.
