Prediction of Acute Hypotensive Episode in ICU using Pulse Wave Transit Time

Abstract:The acute hypotensive episode (AHE) in intensive care units (ICU) seriously endanger the lives of patients without timely and effective intervention. This paper mainly studied the correlation between pulse wave transit time (PWTT) and AHE, and established prediction model of AHE based on artificial neural network. The result demonstrated that PWTT had an affinity with AHE, and could be the predictive characteristic index of AHE.
