Abstract:Electrical impedance tomography (EIT) is a new kind of functional imaging technique. Data acquisition and processing are essential for the EIT. This paper presents a measuring system for EIT based on virtual instrument and explains how to build up a practical EIT system quickly. A data acquisition card is the core of the hardware system which simplifies the hardware structure of the system as well as improving the stability and accuracy of the system. The LABVIEW is applied to control the stimulation–measurement mode and data processing. A preliminary experiment has been taken to verify the practicability of the system. The EIT system based on virtual Instrument provides a new way to establish a high-performance and flexible EIT system.
