Abstract:Bone mineral density measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) is international Gold Standard
used for diagnosing osteoporosis. However, the accuracy and traceability of bone mineral density measured by different
DEXA from different manufactures did not gain enough attention. To unify the measurement results from different DEXA
and supply technique support to clinical diagnostic results of osteoporosis, a set of calibration equipment for DEXA was
designed to realize the metrological test and tracing method of bone mineral density phantom as well as the quantitative
uniformity and traceability of bone mineral density measured by DEXA. The calibration equipment has been designed
and manufactured, and its stability of radiation dosage is proved to be better than 1% by experiments.
