Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of Flash sequence of second-generation dual-source CT in the examination of rib injury. Methods 28 patients with rib injury were scanned by both conventional spiral sequence scan and second-generation dual-source Flash sequence scan. Then the image quality and radiation dose of the two methods were compared. Results The high-quality image rate of conventional spiral sequence scan were obviously lower than that of Flash sequence scan; the tube current, volume CT dose index (CTDIvol), dose-length product (DLP), effective dose (ED) and scan time of Flash sequence scan were significantly lower than those in conventional spiral sequence scan (P<0.05). Conclusion Flash sequence scan is better than conventional spiral sequence scan in radiation doses, scanning time and image quality which is worthy to be widely applied.
