Abstract:Objective To optimize the management of neurosurgery ICU instrument and equipment, improve the quality control
of ICU instrument and equipment, and improve the operational skills of all the staff so as to better serve the patients. Methods
From January 2017 to December 2017, an instrument level III QC team based on the instrument management requirements and
effectively integrating with "6S Management" and trail management was established. Through the establishment of a sound
management system and the use of scientific management methods, we have standardized management of all aspects of the use,
maintenance and training of all instruments and equipment in the neurosurgery ICU and accurately recorded the instrument
failure, the time limit for maintenance and the equipment satisfaction of medical staff. Results After the implementation
of standardized management, the degree of satisfaction of medical staff increased from 65.2% to 84.8%, the time for repairing and
repairing instruments decreased from 8.3 d to 4.4 d, and the failure rate of equipment and instruments dropped from 31.5% to 18.2%.
The general medical staff significantly improved the use of equipment skills, and the scrapped equipment was also significantly reduced.
Conclusion Standardized management of ICU instrumentation modes ensures that all instrumentation and equipment are
safe for clinical use, while on-site reviews and timely corrections of problems can reduce the incidence of instrumental
failures, shorten instrumentation maintenance time, and increase the instrument use satisfaction of nurses, the clinical
skills of medical staff to use the device also increased significantly.
