Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of prenatal ultrasonic in screening fetal malformation in the second trimester of pregnancy. Methods 145 pregnant women whose gestational age scope was 20~24 weeks were diagnosed as fetal malformations by prenatal ultrasonic examinations and confirmed as fetal malformations by labor induction or postpartum results from January 2009 to September 2012 in our hospital. The clinical data of these women were analyzed to classify fetal malformations and summarize the influence factors of fetal malformations. Results There is no correlation between fetal malformations and inhabitancy areas of pregnant women while fetal malformations would more likely to be occurred in pregnant women whose ages are above 35 years old. Conclusion Prenatal ultrasonic plays an important role in screening fetal malformation in the second trimester of pregnancy.
