Abstract:Objective To design a new wrist-type sphygmomanometer that can continuously monitor dynamic blood pressure.
Methods Based on the self-developed pulse wave sensor and the EVERSENSETM chip, our wrist-type sphygmomanometer
measured blood pressure by constructing a nonlinear model, in which pulse wave velocity combined with pulse wave waveform
parameter method was adopted to extract the relevant features. Results In this paper, a total of 403 samples were tested. The results
showed that the accuracy of systolic and diastolic pressure error within ±10 mmHg exceeded 90%, achieving excellent measurement
accuracy. Conclusion The measurement error between our wrist sphygmomanometer and mercurial sphygmomanometer meets the
American standard of AAMI SP-10. Our wrist sphygmomanometer can provide accurate blood pressure information for the surveyors
and assist doctors to find potential patients timely in the near future.
