Abstract:Cone-beam CT has been used in many medical practices as a kind of emerging medical imaging technology. However, optimization and quality control of CBCT devices is hampered due to the lack of appropriate tools and methods for image quality assessment. This paper analyzes the different characteristics of cone-beam CT and other kinds of X-ray diagnostic devices, also introduces the application and quality control methods of cone-beam CT.
