Abstract:Objective To retrospectively analyze the diagnostic performance of contrast-enhanced spectral mammography and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in breast cancer. Methods A total of 30 patients with breast lesions underwent CESM and DCE-MRI examinations. Double blind and nonrandomized studies were used. Paired T test was used to analyze the size and enhanced intensity of the lesion. Sensitivity, accuracy, and positive predictive value were calculated. CESM and DCE-MRI with the size and enhanced intensity of the breast lesions were analyzed by multiple ordered logistic regressions. Results A total of 34 lesions were identified, including malignant lesions in 34 cases and benign lesions in 2 cases. The sensitivity of CESM and DCE-MRI in diagnosis of breast cancer was 100%. There was no significant difference in lesion size, P=0.114. The degree of breast lesion enhancement in CESM was significantly lower than that of DCE-MRI, P<0.01. Two kinds of examination methods can detect the diameter of about 3 mm lesions. Multiple ordered logistic regression results of CESM and DCE-MRI with the lesion size and degree of enhancement in breast lesions showed that CESM c2=109.36, OR=0.331, P<0.001, DCE-MRI c2=115.83, OR=0.232, P<0.001. Conclusion CESM has high sensitivity, higher posttive predictive Value and better examination power in diagnosis of breast cancer, which plays an important role in clinical diagnosis and staging of breast cancer.
