Abstract:Dual-energy CT can be implemented in many technologies. It not only has the advantage of CT image of traditional
computed tomography, but also can extract more spectrum information related to diagnostics without increasing the radiation dose.
The spectral information can be used to synthesize material selective images and energy selective images. Double-energy CT can
effectively identify and quantify the information of abnormal substances or contrast agents that occurs during the pathological
process, such as the separation of stone components, iron, calcium and iodine. The imaging of energy selection can also make the
display and quality of composite images more convenient for the extraction of clinical diagnostic information. In this review, we
summarized the technology of dual energy and the image types in clinical application value in tumor imaging.
