Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical application value of low-dose scanning technology of 64-row spiral CT in the treatment of cerebral hematoma. Methods 120 patients with cerebral hematoma were examined initially by CT with conventional dose. Then these patients were divided into conventional dose group (60 cases) and low dose group (60 cases) during the reexamination process. The radiation doses of initial examination and reexamination of patients in low dose group were analyzed. The analysis about whether the reexamination images of patients in both of the two groups can meet the diagnostic requirements was also conducted. Results Compared with the reexamination images of patients in conventional dose group, the reexamination images of patients in low dose group with higher quality and stronger noise can display the anatomical structures clearly, which indicated that low dose images could satisfy the diagnostic requirements. The exposure doses of patients in low dose group were also significantly lower than those of patients in conventional dose group. Conclusion Low-dose scanning technology of spiral CT which can reduce the exposure dose and the radiation damage is suitable for the reexamination of cerebral hematoma, especially for the patients who need multiple reexaminations.
