Abstract:Objective We performed this study aim to explore the significance of 3D visualization technique in the treatment of renal
tumor. methods A 50-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with left renal lesion by ultrasound examination in local hospital was
examined by multi-row CT to obtain DICOM data. Three-dimensional model was reconstructed after the raw data was input into the
computer. Results 3D reconstruction model clearly displayed the anatomical structure around the tumor, especially the peripheral
blood supply. Under the guidance of 3D visualization technique, the tumor was completely resected while the normal kidney tissue
was preserved as much as possible, and the operation time was greatly reduced. Conclusion The 3D visualization technology
applied to renal tumor surgery can clearly display the anatomic structure and adjacent vessels of tumor. It can assist the preoperative
diagnosis of complex kidney surgery so as to enhance the security, reduce the operation time, and improve operation accuracy.
Therefore, this technique can be applied for surgical operation of renal carcinoma with great prospect.
