Abstract:Objective This study designed an ultrasound measurement system of the bone mineral density (BMD) based on virtual
instrument technology for osteoporosis diagnosis. Methods This system used the software LabVIEW to develop a program
which could achieve the data input and processed, data output and save, with the basic theory of quantitative ultrasound and
channel multiplex technology to accomplish ultrasonic transmitting and receiving function. This system used Data Acquisition
Card NIUSB-6251 to transmit data. And then it was tested. Results It turned out that this system was reliable and easy to operate.
Conclusion This system has highly innovation at the level of technology and application, which can be used for the early diagnosis
of osteoporosis from a new angle.
