Abstract:Objective This study aimed to develop a kind of wearable fall detection alarm system, which could send out alarm when
the wearer fell down, and informed relevant staff via mobile network. Methods The triaxial acceleration information of the wearer
was gathered by gyroscope, then the data was sent to the mobile phone APP by bluetooth for calculation and distinguish. If there was
a fall in the discriminant for the wearer, the APP control mobile phones would send out alarm to related care workers via the mobile
network. Results After testing, this fall alarm device was comfortable to wear, and was with features of light weight, falling state
recognition accuracy, good alarm effect, informing related care workers via mobile network. Conclusion This system is designed by
adopting the new type 6 axis motion processing module and bluetooth 4.0 chips. The whole machine is low power consumption, and
a button battery could run more than half a year. The data processing is conducted on the mobile, with high processing speed, high
precision, real-time and accurate judgment. This system can accurately distinguish fall state and send out alarm timely. The special
people such as the olds can receive timely aid after fell down.
