Abstract：In order to ensure the fairness and accuracy of laboratory test data, problems in Sichuan Center
for Disease Control and Prevention were discussed, such as the lack of maintenance funds for prevention
and maintenance of laboratory equipment, less attention to the construction of professional medical
engineering talents, prominent problems in instrument and equipment maintenance in disease control
authorities in grass-roots unit. Based on the discussion, various suggestions were put forward, including
the implementation of fund guarantee, improvement of professional quality and ability of engineering
technical personnel, attention to instruments and equipment after-sale management and service, the
establishment of an open and sharing mechanism of instrument, hardware, software and data platform
in disease control systems at provincial, municipal and county levels, in order to improve the laboratory
instrument and equipment maintenance level and ensure the quality of disease prevention and control.
