Abstract：Objective To promote the informatization and automation construction of pharmacy in
the hospital so as to expand the pharmacy service types and improve pharmacy service quality of the
hospital. Methods Through adjusted distribution of pharmacy, equipment docking, varieties matching
and allocation, an intelligent pharmacy was established. Results The operation of the intelligent
pharmacy contributed for shortened waiting time for patients, reduced work intensity for pharmacists and
realization of diversified pharmacy services. Conclusion Application of automation and informatization
technology realized the professional value of pharmacists and played a positive role in improvement
of the overall service in the hospital and creation of a harmonious relationship between doctors and
patients.
