Abstract:Objective To develop a kind of binocular magnifying glasses as to provide the individual
customization and meet the operation and use needs for clinical doctors. Methods The physiological
data of the user’s eye was measured to customize the aspheric lens as the objective and the eyepiece.
Then, the optical path was designed for composition of a magnifying lens group. According to operator’s
ophthalmic prescription obtained after measurement, the peripheral glasses were customized. The user’s
data of head was measured to make 3D modeling, introduce ergonomic design and then establish the
3D model of glasses frames as a scaffold. Then, the magnifying part was embedded into scaffold to
make magnifying glasses. Results After the testing, the magnifying glasses were featured with light
weight, good effect, aberration-free images, no distortion, accurate focusing and comfortability to wear.
Conclusion Based on the physiological parameters of the users, this research met the individual needs,
and was very suitable for the application of surgical procedures.
