Abstract:With the development of wearable medical devices as well as the cost reduction, sensitivity
enhancement and miniaturization of the sensor, the acceleration sensor becomes more and more widely
applied in biomedical field. The traditional acceleration sensor was mainly used for the acquisition of motion
signal, and the function of which in biomedical field was action recognition. With continuous development of
the research, the acceleration sensor is also applied in the energy consumption and sleep monitoring. Based
on the application examples of the acceleration sensor in biomedical field, the paper explained the key
role of the sensor in the detection of biomedical parameters. Finally, the existing algorithm problems of
acceleration sensor were proposed.
