Abstract：Objective To discuss the effect of medical consumables secondary warehouse information system in medical cost control. Methods Combined with the design process, system modules and business functions of medical secondary warehouse information system, methods of controlling medical cost as well as specific operation procedure and specification were explored from the perspectives of management theory and operation technique. Results The control of medical cost can be realized with the methods of ABC classification management, query statistics analysis, quota management, early warning work management, and with the add of corresponding function modules. Conclusion With the application of secondary warehouse information system, hospitals not only can achieve more economic and social benefits, but also can improve management level and decrease medical cost.
