Abstract:Bacterial adhesion is a complex process affected by many factors. With the increasing application of medical bio-materials, the incidence of infections significantly increases. How to prevent the relevant infection caused by biomaterials has become an urgent clinical problem. Therefore, the study on the adhesion of bacterial and biomaterials plays an important role in discussion on the infection caused by the biological material implantation. This review briefly introduced the biological materials related to bacterial adhesion mechanism, analyzed the bacterial adhesion factors, as well as their characteristics, host factors on bacterial adhesion of bacteria. And it also put forward the outlook of the future research trends based on summarization of the problems of bacterial adhesion.
