Abstract:The surgical treatment of AAD can be through anterior, lateral and posterior to moor the vertebra. It is easy to have an operation through the posterior and expose. As the technology becomes more and more mature, the posterior atlanto-axial fixation has developed from Brooks and Gallie to Margerl and even to screw fixation now. The passage is going to talk about the posterior atlanto-axial fixation and use Biomechanical factor to value the advantages and disadvantages of them.
