Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of dual region of interest (ROI) triggered scanning method in improving the
image quality of coronary artery. Methods A total of 100 patients who underwent coronary CT angiography (CCTA) in our hospital
from December 2019 to May 2020 were prospectively included. The patients were randomly divided into experimental and control
groups using random number table. Experimental group was scanned using dual ROI fluoroscopic triggered of the pulmonary artery
and aorta, and the control group was scanned using smart tracking technology. The images were subjectively evaluated and scored
using the Likert 5-point score. Objective evaluation parameters such as CT value, standard deviation, signal to noise ratio (SNR)
and contrast to noise ratio (CNR) of the aortic root, left main coronary artery and right main coronary artery were measured and
compared in the two groups. Results The subjective scores, CT values, SNR and CNR of aortic root and left coronary artery in the
experimental group were better than those of the control group, with statistically significant differences (P<0.05). The CT values,
SNR, and CNR of the right coronary arteries were not significantly different between the experimental and control groups (P>0.05).
Conclusion The dual ROI triggered scanning method enables objective visualization of CCTA scans and can effectively improve the
coronary artery image quality.
