Application of Quality Control Circle in Improving the Qualification Rate of Biological
Monitoring of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy

Abstract:Objective To explore quality control circle (QCC) to improve the qualified rate of biological monitoring in digestive
endoscopy center, and provide reference for comprehensively improving the quality of cleaning and disinfection of endoscopy center.
Methods A total of 770 biological monitoring samples between January to December 2019 were used as the control group, and a
total of 556 biological monitoring samples from January to July 2020 were used as the observation group. The qualification rate of
digestive endoscopy and biological monitoring of the two groups were compared. Results Through the activities of the QCC, the
qualified rate of biological monitoring of the observation group (99.28%) was significantly higher than that of the control group
(95.71%), and the difference was statistically significant (P=0.041). The examination results of theory and operation of cleaning and
disinfection personnel and bedside pretreatment of nurses were significantly improved (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of
QCC can significantly improve the qualified rate of biological monitoring in the center of gastrointestinal endoscope, standardize the
bedside pretreatment and cleaning and disinfection process of cleaning and disinfection personnel, improve the executive ability of
hand hygiene and teamwork ability of staff, and indirectly improve the quality of cleaning and disinfection of endoscope.
