Abstract:Objective The purpose of this article was to explore the feasibility of evaluating the allocation quantity of life support
equipment using queuing theory model to improve the level of fine management of medical equipment. Methods Taking the
monitors in two wards of our hospital as examples, the queuing theory M/M/C model was used to establish the quantitative
relationship between the use data and the allocation quantity of equipment configurations, evaluate the most reasonable quantity of
equipment configurations, and monitor the implementation effect. Results According to the predicted results of data model, The
number of configuration was reduced from 25 to 16 in ward 1 while it was reduced from 13 to 12 in ward 2, there was no shortage
of equipment in each ward, and the efficiency of equipment was improved by 56.22% and 9.36% respectively. Conclusion It is
feasible to use queuing theory model to evaluate the allocation quantity of medical equipment for life support. It is necessary for
the hospitals to constantly innovate management modes, put advanced management methods into work, strengthen the life-cycle
management of medical equipment, improve the efficiency of equipment use, and reduce hospital operating costs.
