Abstract:This paper expounded the development process of a novel practical energy-efficient fumigation
bed which mainly consisted of a bed and three easily-removable chambers. Under the bed, there were
three chambers inside which the steam entrance was located in connection to the steam bypass coiled
pipe. The steam entrance valve and condensed water drainage valve both were outside the chambers.
The steam pot under the bed was connected to the valve and applied the method of electricity-steam
separation to ensure its security. The volume of this improved fumigation bed had been reduced to 1/3
of its original volume, which realized efficient energy and electricity consumption and rapid steam. At
the end of each drainage exit was located the steam bypass coiled pipe through which the condensed
water flowed out. Additionally, the fumigation temperature can be adjusted according to different regions
in three chambers. The improved fumigation bed had demonstrated its excellent effectiveness and low
malfunction rate in the clinical application, which was worth-while to be promoted.
