Research on the Remote Filming System for Digital Radiography Equipment in Community Hospitals

Abstract:Objective To develop a filming system that can remotely control digital radiography (DR)
equipment. With the system, central hospitals can remotely control the DR devices of community
hospitals. Methods The embedded technology was applied to develop the control mainframe. Then,
various information including images and voice can be transferred via wide area network (WAN) from
the DR room in community hospitals to central hospitals. Meanwhile, the control commands also can
be transferred from central hospitals to the DR equipment in community hospitals. Results With the
application of the system, central hospitals can remotely control the DR equipment in community
hospitals. Conclusion The system that can meet the requirements of remote filming of DR equipment is
worth to be promoted.
