Abstract:Objective To establish a set of rapid evaluation program to compare and analyze the infusion accuracy and stability
of 3 electronic patient controlled analgesia pumps, distinguish between the performance of different analgesia pumps, deepen the
understanding of clinical staff on patient controlled analgesia pumps, and help hospitals choose better products. Methods 3 experimental
schemes were designed, all covering the PCA mode, CBI mode and mixed dosing mode of the patient controlled analgesia pump,
which can compare and analyze the accuracy and stability of all the modes of each product. Results Among the 3 patient controlled
analgesia pumps A, B and C evaluated, the PCA performance of the C analgesia pump was optimal, and the accuracy and stability
of the total amount of infusion were also the highest, and the evaluation results of the CBI mode showed that the performance was
not only related to the patient controlled analgesia pump brand but also related to the CBI rate. Conclusion The patient controlled
analgesia pump infusion accuracy and stability rapid evaluation program established in this paper can distinguish the key performance
of different analgesia pumps in a short period of time, help the hospital procurement department to better understand the products,
choose better medical equipment to provide better service for patients.
