Abstract:Objective To develop a set of temperature and speed control device for blood transfusion and infusion suitable for onsite emergency medical rescue, which can realize fast and accurate liquid infusion and heating, and has automatic exhaust function.
Methods Pro/E modeling software was used to design the three-dimensional structure. The microprocessor chip PIC16F1947 was
used as the core of the host while a new type of peristaltic pump was selected to realize the precision of flow-rate control. The
detachable heater was used alone to communicate with the host by PIC16F1936 microprocessor, and realized temperature control
by PID algorithm.The aluminum alloy material was used as the heat transfer surface of the heating box, and improved the heating
efficiency by the design of double-sided heating and the opposed toothed aluminum plate. Results The speed-control device for
emergency blood transfusion and infusion and temperature control with a maximum speed of 200 mL/min was developed, which can
meet the clinical requirements of heating and pressurizing rapid blood transfusion and infusion. The machine had advanced design
and convenient operation, and suitable for heating of short-time large-volume blood transfusion and infusion. Conclusion The device
could meet the requirements of infusion treatment for various seriously injured persons, and plays an important role in emergency
medical rescue on site and outside of the hospital.
