Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of thin-layer CT and enhanced CT in the diagnosis of pulmonary sclerosing
pneumocytoma. Methods The clinical, pathological and imaging data of patients with pulmonary sclerosing pneumocytoma (PSP)
confirmed by pathology from January 2009 to January 2019 were retrospectively analyzed. The positive rate of air-gap sign, halo
sign and overlying vessel sign and ΔCT distribution were calculated. The specificity, sensitivity, accuracy and positive likelihood
ratio of thin-slice CT and thin-slice CT combined with enhanced CT in the diagnosis of PSP were compared with the data of 12
patients with isolated solid nodular lung cancer randomly selected. Results Among the 17 patients with PSP, 3 had air-gap sign, the
positive rate was 17.65%; 7 had halo sign, the positive rate was 41.17%; 9 had overlying vessel sign, the positive rate was 75%. The
ΔCT value was from 35 HU to 107 HU while the average value was 71±19.58 HU. 83.33% patients had a high or extremely high
CT value enhancement. Combined with enhanced CT, the specificity, sensitivity, accuracy and positive likelihood ratio of diagnosis
increased, but there was no significant difference between the two groups (P=0.100). Conclusion With the help of PSP features on
thin-slice CT and enhanced CT, such as air-gap sign, halo sign, overlying vessel sign, combined with the information of ΔCT value
and enhancement mode, it can be diagnosed accurately
