Abstract：Objective To measure the acoustic noise level of medical magnetic resonance in domestic mainstream brands, and
safeguard patient safety in medical practice. Methods The ambient noise and maximum acoustic noise produced by each of 69
clinical MRI scanners from 52 hospitals for various of basic pulse sequences were measured with a sound level meter that was
insensitive to magnetic field, respectively. Results The maximum sound level of SE-EPI, SE, FSE, and 3DGE sequences was
measured. The average value of each sequence was lower than the limit of 140 dB (linear), but reached 115 dBA，besides the
background noise of the scanning room exceeded 55 dBA, the regulation limit set by GB3096-2008. The maximum sound level
of 3.0T system was significantly higher than that of 1.5T. Conclusion The maximum sound level of each MRI model is within the
standard limits when running the clinical basic general pulse sequences, but the noise level control needs to be strengthened, and the
brand C and D noise levels are generally lower than the others. The difference in sound levels when setting up MRI systems for hospitals
should be minimized as possible.
