Abstract:Objective To understand the basic situation of electrical safety of the high-risk medical equipments in Intensive Care
Unit, discover the potential problems of electrical safety of medical equipments, and make corresponding measures to ensure the
good operation of the equipments and the safety of medical staffs and patients. Methods The ES601-type electrical safety tester
was applied to conduct electrical safety inspections on five kinds of 47 high-risk medical devices in strict accordance with the
requirements of the inspection specifications. Results At the initial test, the pass rate of electrical safety was 78.72%, and the pass
rate after repair was 100%. The unqualified index was mainly caused by the excessive protective grounding impedance. Conclusion
The routine maintenance of high risk medical equipments, regular electrical safety inspection, and regular operation and daily
maintenance training for equipment operators can effectively prevent electrical safety accidents and ensure the safe use of medical
equipments.
