Abstract:Objective To evaluate the application of low concentration CE-MRA using double flow high-pressure syring in the
diagnosis of intra-and extracranial artery stenosis by comparison with the DSA. Methods A total of 50 patients with clinically
suspected carotid-cerebrovascular artery disease were prospectively enrolled. All patients received low concentration CE-MRA
using double flow high-pressure syring and DSA within one week. Image quality was assessed using a five-point scoring. The CEMRA
results in the diagnosis of intra- and extracranial artery stenosis were compared with DSA as the reference standard. Results
Image quality of the low concentration CE-MRA was high, the mean quality score was 3.66±0.48. The sensitivity of the CE-MRA
in diagnosing mild, moderate, severe stenosis and occlusion were 94.4%, 83.3%, 91.7%, 100%, the specificity were 100%, 94.7%,
94.7%, 97.6%, the positive predictive value were 100%, 90.9%, 84.6%, 88.9% and the negative predictive value were 97%, 94.9%,
97.3%, 100%. Conclusion Low concentration CE-MRA using double flow high-pressure syring can display clearly intra- and
extracranial artery stenosis, which has good prospect of clinical application.
