Abstract:Objective To design and develop a software for evaluating the early therapeutic efficacy of hepatocellular carcinoma transcatheter arterial chemoembolizaztion (TACE) quantificationally. Methods The software, including graphic user interface and image processing, was developed by using MATLAB programming software under Windows operating system and based on abdominal magnetic resonance diffusion weighted imaging (MR-DWI). Results This software not only provided comparison between before and after TACE treatment, but also performed quantitative analysis. Its functions contained 5 modules such as data import, lesion registration and segmentation, histogram comparison, color map demonstration and quantitative evaluation. Conclusion MedFIA provides an intuitive, accurate and quantitative analysis of the early effect evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma.
