Abstract:Objective To explore the drying effects of two pulse vacuum sterilization modes on standard
equipment, aiming to improve sterilization quality and efficiency of sterilization. Methods Selected
qualified breathing threaded pipe cleaned in sterilization and supply center, and selected the orthopedic
overweight oversized spinal fixation instrument, to respectively perform time-dominant pulsation vacuum
sterilization cycle mode and pressure-dominant pulsation vacuum sterilization cycle mode for 200 times.
They were randomly divided into A, B, C and D four groups, with A and B groups the control group (which
meant the two instruments were sterilized under time-dominated pulsation vacuum sterilization mode),
and C and D groups the experimental group (which meant the two instruments were sterilized under
pressure-dominant pulsation vacuum sterilization mode), differences of the drying effects of the control
group and experimental group were observed. Results After 200 times sterilization cycle, the physical,
chemical and biological monitoring of breathing threaded pipe and spinal fixation instrument under
two pulsation vacuum sterilization modes were all qualified. The wet packet rate of the experimental
group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.01), the difference was statistically
significant. Conclusion When using pressure steam sterilization, the drying effect of pressure-dominated
pulsation vacuum sterilization mode is better than that of time-dominated pulsation vacuum sterilization
mode, for it can prevent wet package of standard equipment that is difficult to dry.
