Abstract:Objective By analyzing the installation, daily disinfection and endotoxin content of water supply pipelines of different
brands, the countermeasures was explored to control the excessive endotoxin of dialysis water. Methods Twelve dialysis centers
were selected to compare the installation layout and disinfection of water supply pipelines of different brands through field
investigation. The endotoxin content of 128 samples were detected before and after disinfection at the inlet of the hemodialysis
machine through screening and comparison methods. Results The content of endotoxin was controlled by the factors of different
brands of water supply pipeline, different material selection and installation methods, long service life and so on. The factors
such as different material selection of different brands, different installation and service life of water supply pipelines had certain
influences on the control of endotoxin content. Conclusion The installation of water supply pipelines for dialysis should
be rationally arranged to avoid the formation of blind end. The regular disinfection of water supply pipelines needs scientific
calculation of disinfection concentration and reasonable development of disinfection procedures to ensure the effectiveness of
pipeline disinfection. The frequency of disinfection for water supply pipelines with long service life should be appropriately
increased to avoid excessive formation of biofilms and ensure dialysis safety.
