Abstract:Objective To explore the application feasibility of Digital Defogging Technology (DDT) in laparoscopic surgery with the aim of improving view effects during operation and operative efficiency. Methods 64 patients received laparoscopic radical resections for colorectal cancer were randomly divided into observation group and control group. Both of the two groups adopted the physical defogging methods that combined traditional pre-heat of warm saline and wipe of iodine. Laparoscopic imaging equipment was adopted by control group, while digital defogging system was additionally used in observation group. Image definition of the two groups was evaluated by numeric rating scale at 30min, 60min, and 90 min of operation respectively. Besides, operation and defogging time were calculated. Results Comparison of the image definition of the two groups at different measuring time has statistical significance (P<0.05); difference of the two groups’ operation and defogging time is statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Digital defogging system has positive effects in improving image definition during laparoscopic surgery in terms of shortening surgery and defogging time. It is worthy of clinical application due to its higher efficiency and safety.
